 Help the NELA help YOU!

We need MA-based businesses & residents

to contact their

MA State Senator TODAY - TUESDAY.

 Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 29th

the Massachusetts State Senate will debate

Senate Bill 2371

which is totally PRO-UBER.

TODAY, email your Senator

AND call their office and register your stance of

"NO" to SB 2371.

 See the attached Talking Points

for additional details

Talking Points are attached, and the brief headings are these:

  • For public safety and consumer protection, MA needs fingerprinting and FBI background checks for ALL drivers. Remember the 2nd level sex offender at Logan a week ago?
  • For public safety and consumer protection, MA needs real 24/7 commercial insurance. TNC drivers can easily drive for-hire, off-app, with personal insurance that WILL DENY COVERAGE.
  • For public safety and consumer protection, MA needs vehicles to be marked with a state-issued TNC plate, something that cannot be counterfeited. Uber decals are available on eBay.
  • For fairness… for a level playing field, MA needs to support the Taxi Industry that has supported Boston and the Commonwealth. Logan Airport and the BCEC (partially financed through new taxi medallions) need to be off-limits to TNC pickups for five years.

Please! Right now, take a few minutes and email AND call your Senator’s office.

Tomorrow will be too late.
